I had been searching for black and white striped blankets to be used on our courtyard patio in the evenings when the nights are cool. After looking at dozens and dozens of blankets, I decided on this blanket (I ordered two of them in black and white). The blankets are a very nice quality and have the sort of 'boho' look I was after. The fabric is actually woven black and white, not just a white blanket with black stripes printed on it. The blankets are actually quite thick and provide just the right amount of warmth. I wasn't sure how thick or thin these blankets would be, but I am pleased by their thickness. I like to fold the blankets and drape them over the patio chairs when they are not in use, and they look really nice like that. Our guests have commented on the blankets and how they like them. I'm very happy with this purchase, and definitely recommend the blankets!Heavy weight cotton as expected. Not especially soft but durable. I am using it for sitting on the floor and for yoga. It would also make a very good beach blanket. I agree with the review who said it is stiff and not for cuddling. Correct! I am not using it as a wrap or for warmth, though you could. It is rough by design, not cuddly, but not scratchy. It is thick, no bare areas. May not be that comfortable as a blanket on your bodyThis hand woven blanket will be going on my (twin) bed for chilly nights. It is lightweight, yet tightly woven. It has a little bit of a nubby texture to it. The white stripe has some earth tones mixed in. I think it's a great value for the money, and I can be quite frugal. The weather where I am is beginning to change and this blanket arrived just in time for the cool brisk weather. It immediately generated warmth when I put it on. It is also tightly woven and the striped pattern is perfect for those who love the modern look. Mexican blankets can be used in various ways and I can’t wait to show off its versatility.Blanket has a decent weight to it and pretty good size for two people to lay down comfortably. Don't believe the corners will flip up with the wind. Softer and more flexible than I thought it would be. so could be used at home if you need to but probably have softer options already. Great blanket and great value.The blanket is so versatile. I intended to use it as a decorative throw blanket in the house, but it is very durable and thick, which makes it perfect to bring along to picnics and outdoor concerts/games. It has turned out to be a tailgate staple. Also washes very well! Would definitely recommend.
